Note:

Before experiencing the Yousonic Reverberation Time T60 Blind Estimation Technology, please prepare a vocal recording on site according to the following requirements:

  1. General Requirements: The Yousonic Reverberation Time T60 Blind Estimation Technology only requires a clear recording from within the room to be tested (the recording should consist of continuous speech by a single speaker). Upload the recording to our link, and you will receive reverberation times at 500Hz, 1000Hz, and 2000Hz octave bands. The test currently supports reverberation time measurements in the range of 0.3 to 2.0 seconds.
  2. Recording Equipment: Please use devices such as a smartphone, voice recorder, or tablet. Before recording, make sure to turn off any noise reduction features on the device (if it has this function). We recommend using the "wav" format for the recording and setting the sampling rate to no less than 16 kHz.
  3. Room Setup: In the room where the test will be conducted, turn off sound sources (including loudspeakers, air conditioners, etc.) and ensure that no other participants make any noise during the recording phase. The room should be relatively quiet, with a low background noise level. The speaker and recording device should be positioned at a pre-selected recording spot. It is recommended that the speaker be at least 1.5 meters away from the recording device, and the recording location should be at least 1 meter away from rigid reflective surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and floors. Multiple recording points can be chosen in the same room, and the final test result can be obtained by averaging the results of all the recordings for a more accurate result.
  4. Preparation of Recording Content: Please prepare the recording content in advance. We recommend using news reports, literary works, etc., to avoid long periods without speech due to lack of preparation. The language, accent, and gender of the speaker are not restricted; the only requirement is that the recorded speech is clear and continuous. The recording should be done by a single speaker (i.e., only one person should speak in the recording, and others should not make any sound. However, different recording files can be made by different speakers).
  5. Recording Process: Press the "Record" button on the recording device, and the speaker should begin reading the prepared content. The recording time should be between 10 seconds and 2 minutes. After finishing, press the "Stop" button and save the recording. Then, move the recording device to the next location and repeat the process to obtain the next recording file. Once all the recordings are ready, you can proceed to the uploading step.
